Katie Radford
Assistant Vice Principal for Inclusion
Katie studied for her degree at the University of Chester before transferring to specialise further in Sport Studies with Education at the University of Central Lancashire and then completed a SCITT at Ossett Academy. From then Katie's teaching career has covered the West Yorkshire area, having served a number of schools across: Leeds, Ossett, Ilkley and Barnsley. Prior to teaching Katie worked for a non-profit Sports organisations overseeing and running many sports camps, writing and training staff on a variety of cruise ships and setting up a child's sports camp in Italy.
At the beginning of her career, Katie worked as a PE Teacher in Leeds. After a couple of years Katie was asked to hold a responsibility for SEND before being asked to be the Head of PE. Katie was then promoted to SENDCO at a different academy in Barnsley. Teaching across a number of schools in the West Yorkshire area, Katie developed her subject and leadership skills in being a SENDCO.
Katie is passionate about ensuring that all students lead a successful and purposeful life. She is very excited to be part of Dixons McMillan's journey to be the best it can be.
