Support for scholars with additional needs

Class of 2028: welcome to the Mountain Support webpage! We are very much looking forward to you joining our fantastic academy. Our department has a range of different functions, so please read through the information on here.

The Mountain Support team help all scholars climb their mountain to university or a real alternative by giving additional support to those who need it. We know that any scholar may require the support at any point during their school career and that support may temporary or long-term. Our department replaces a number of departments that might be found within a traditional school, including SEND, medical / first aid, pastoral, mentoring and safeguarding. Here are the staff members in the department and a short video to introduce ourselves:

Mrs Ali: Head of Mountain Support (SENDCo)

Mr Wilson: Assistant SENCO

Mrs Butterfield: Academy Nurse (part time)

Mrs King: Safeguarding & Wellbeing Officer

Miss Todhunter: Prevention Fellow
