If your child is isolating but remain well, they should be accessing remote learning when they are at home. To access their work, they need to follow their usual in school timetable. When it is time for a lesson, they need to click on the Long-Term Plan for that subject, identify the week and follow the instructions to complete the tasks.
Your child will be emailed a reminder of how to access their remote learning when they are isolating; this email will contain an important link to a Microsoft Form that they must complete on a Friday. This is how your child's teachers will track the work they are doing at home and be able to provide feedback and support to them when they return to the academy. Please encourage your child to regularly check their emails and complete this form alongside all their remote learning work.
As well as the work set by our teachers your child should take advantage of additional learning that can be found on platforms such as Hegarty Math's, Oak National Academy, SAM Learning and Seneca Learning. Scholars also have hard copies of work to complete as well as their revision of their 100% sheets.
It is really important that a routine at home is maintained to ensure that your child's momentum in learning is not lost. Please also remember to ensure they keep up their reading with their DEAR book. We will also be making regular contact with you and your child, and it is important that if you have any safeguarding concerns that you continue to report these.
If your child has any questions or needs general help with remote learning, they will need to contact their Advisor in the first instance.
