DMA Culture Day 2023

Today marked the end of a busy week at DMA as we held our first ever annual Culture Week. We have focused on all the remarkable ingredients that make up our culture at Dixons McMillan.

The week sought to showcase the wide range of diverse cultures which students and staff at Dixons McMillan are part of - with 26 languages being spoken, 5 religions being practised and 46 nationalities represented. Culture Day involved students off timetable taking part in a number of workshops, investigating more about religions, languages, art, texts, sport and dance from the cultures of the school’s community, along with exploring the significance of the Coronation of Their Majesties the King and Queen to British culture. We finished the day with drummers out on the playground as students finished for the long weekend. Students thoroughly enjoyed and we are looking forward to Culture Week 2024!
