Cycle 3 Enrichment Day 2025

We hosted our final Enrichment Day of the year on Tuesday, with a fantastic array of different activities taking place across all year groups, including:
- Year 7 were with their Head of Year, Mrs Swain, and took part in drama workshops all day, with the goal of creating recorded performances about life at the academy that can then be used as part of the induction of our new cohort in September
- Year 8 were with the PE department and had a number of workshops from different sports providers, and took part in cheerleading, wheelchair rugby, padel, boxing, and kabbadi
- Year 9 were with the Humanities department and undertook a guided History tour of Bradford city centre, followed by a talk from Dan Bates, executive director of Bradford UK City of Culture 2025, and then a great session back in the city centre conducting land use surveys and pedestrian counts in areas recently regnerated as part of Bradford 2025
- Year 10 were with the Science department, and took part in workshops and talks delivered by the University of Bradford look at the application of Science in careers and industries beyond those immediately thought of, such as medicine, dentistry and optometry, to instead focus on the use of chemistry, biology and physics in other industries, ranging from cosmetics to engineering
