Class of 2026 (Y10) visit Bradford College

Posted 30th June 2023

Students in Year 10 were very fortunate to visit Bradford College today with their incoming Head of Year, Miss Jordon, to discover more about the different courses which are part of the college's post-16 offer.

All students got very stuck in and were hands on in having a go at some of the associated jobs and skills which would come with taking part in courses or an apprenticeship with Bradford College, helping to broaden the horizons of our students and making them really think more about the 'real alternative' when we talk about 'climbing the mountain to university or a real alternative'. All students took part in taster sessions around joinery, plumbing and electrical engineering.

During the second strike day of next week, Year 10 will hold their own Employability Day, where they will explore different career pathways further on Unifrog with their advisors, as well as hearing from students at Dixons Sixth Form Academy about A-Levels, T-Levels and apprenticeships on offer in the West Yorkshire region.
