Family dining

Family dining is core feature at Dixons McMillan and something that both scholars and staff enjoy. We eat as a family; scholars have the opportunity to create new friendships and strengthen relationships.  We expect all scholars to eat the healthy meal provided by the academy kitchen during family dining. We have invested in a fully trained chef and a new kitchen with modern facilities to ensure that our food is prepared to highest standards. Family dining is part of our culture and remains a distinctive feature at DMA.

We operate a healthy school; this means that scholars may bring snack for break time but they must be healthy. Crisps and chocolate bars are not permitted. We aim to educate our young people about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating.

Really pleased with our A Level results and delighted that so many of our scholars have confirmed their next steps in education, employment and training. I am equally as pleased with the young adults you have become throughout your time at Dixons - well done Class of 2019.

Congratulations to students on their fantastic A Level results today. McMillan's scholars, who only study A Level qualifications secured a value added score significantly above the national average at 0.41. This is a wonderful achievement - well done! #BDResults https://t.co/mkBzfWA0uL
