The academy is closed to all students on Thursday 5 March and Friday 6 March 2026 due to our Cycle 2 Data and Planning Days. We reopen as usual at the normal time on Monday 9 March 2026. Students should be fully equipped, in full uniform and fully ready to learn.

Culture day

Diversity is a strength to be celebrated at Dixons McMillan Academy. Culture Day is an annual highlight where students embrace difference, share their heritage, and learn from each other.

Students and staff come dressed in cultural attire and participate in themed lessons, external workshops, performances, and displays. While Culture Day happens once a year, its impact lasts far longer, strengthening bonds, building respect, and ensuring every student feels proud of who they are and the community they belong to.
