Remote learning
In the event of your child needing to work from home, it is important that they can continue their studies remotely.
Your child has access to Sparx for Maths, Educake for Science, and Seneca for a number of other subjects. They can log onto these websites using their Dixons McMillan email address and password.
The links for the sites are below. New work is added on a regular basis and is mapped so that it mirrors the in school work meaning your child will not miss out. Subject teachers and subject leaders monitor work completed and will provide feedback as appropriate on return. Your child can access further work and use these websites for revision by searching for the content they require.
Students should log onto a learning platform using their usual login details, then search for the topic they are currently studying or a previous unit they should be revising. They should then work through the units on the platform. They should also ensure that any work that has been specifically set to them by their teacher has been completed.
Platform | Subjects | Link |
Sparx | Maths | Sparx - Student Login |
Educake | Science | Educake - Student Login |
Seneca | All other subjects | Seneca - Student Login |
GCSE students in Years 10 & 11 may use these online platforms too, with further specific GCSE revision material to be found in our GCSE Revision section.
Update for October 2025
If you child has a cycle assesment this week due to being in Year 8 or Year 10, please see the assessment timetable and revision letters below. These will detail exactly which topics that students should be revising. Any assessments scheduled which cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances will be re-scheduled and families made aware as soon as possible.
