Parent portal guides

Stay connected and informed by downloading the MCAS app and by using the ParentPay website. This web page will explain the purpose of each portal and tell you how to download and sign up them!

MCAS (My Child at School)

MCAS gives you real time access to attendance, timetables, assessment and behaviour data for your child.

Where do I download the app?

How do I sign up?

  1. Follow the link here: MyChildAtSchool - Sign Up

  2. Enter the school postcode: BD5 0JD

  3. Enter your email address (ensure that it is the one you provided to us)

  4. Enter the one time password sent to your email address

ParentPay

Parent Pay is our cashless payment system. We collect payments for meals, trips and more on this app. You can access the system by pressing the 'Pay online' button at the top of the page.

We also use a cashless payment system at breaktime. Students have access to a selection of food at breaktime to be paid for via ParentPay. If your child would like to buy food at breaktime, please ensure payments on ParentPay are up to date, as students with a negative balance will not be able to purchase breaktime food.

How do I sign up?

  1. Collect the activation letter from Main Reception (if you have not previously signed up)

  2. Follow the link here: ParentPay

  3. Type in the username and password provided in the activation letter. Be sure not to confuse the letter 'l' (for lima) with '1' (one) or the number '0' (zero) with the letter 'o' (for Oscar)

  4. Confirm the details for your child(ren) are correct

What if I am still struggling?

Should you require support with accessing any of these applications please contact main reception and our admin team will be available to support you.

MCAS can be accessed via a web browser, but is also an app that can be downloaded on to any smartphone. A link to the My Child at School website can be found on the bar at the top of this page, above ‘Why Dixons’.

ParentPay is a cashless payment system which we use with our families for any charges or costs that might be incurred, including buying spare equipment, the payment of Family Dining, and for any trips or residentials.
